The Nomadix® WLAN Controller AC 1LA is enterprise-class, secure, robust, and scalable, and it is recommended to configure, monitor and maintain a complete wireless solution consisting of Nomadix Wi-Fi 6 access points (APs). It can be managed from anywhere via a simple yet efficient web-based, and command line interface (CLI).

One device supports up to 224 indoor/outdoor APs or 448 wall plate APs, up to 8 Gbps bandwidth, and up to 6,400 clients. Furthermore, a maximum of 8 units can be combined into a virtual controller to provide increased capacity, load balancing, and high availability. The APs can also be configured to automatically switch to an intelligent mode to continue operating, even in the case of loss of connectivity, with the controller, ensuring the wireless network and its users are always kept online.

Deployed at Layer 2 or Layer 3 without modifying the original network architecture, the Nomadix WLAN Controller AC 1LA forms an integrated switching framework with the APs, easily handling all the data exchange management, either in a centralized or distributed processing model. Industry-leading local forwarding technology allows the elimination of potential traffic bottlenecks. It makes this solution well-suited for high-bandwidth or delay-sensitive applications such as high-definition video and voice-over-wireless LAN (VoWLAN).

The controller includes built-in quality of service (QoS) and security features – from attack prevention, traffic encryption, and user isolation, to rogue AP containment and much more. For user onboarding and management, it is best paired with Nomadix Internet Gateways to deliver a superlative guest internet experience.
