Building to the Future Hospitality Technology Landscape

Today’s hospitality technology landscape often comprises disconnected systems that function in isolation. This creates a very complex environment that opens hotels up for inefficiencies, time loss, frustrated front-desk associates and more money out the door. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

In an ideal situation, a fully integrated technology ecosystem encompasses the entire guest journey – from pre-check-in to departure. This provides a seamless and effortless experience for guests and staff, removing the myriad of complaints and frustrations. Here’s an example: when a guest checks into a hotel, they are immediately and securely connected to the Wi-Fi. Upon reaching their room, the same device is automatically connected to the TV to stream as they would at home—offering a truly fluid experience.

I’ve personally encountered these challenges hotels face in their round-the-clock service on both sides. First, during my time as a former general manager for over a decade in four and five-star hotels, and then through my 20+ years of experience in the hospitality technology side of the industry, including a fulfilling role as Chief Sales Officer for Crave Interactive.

Combining my understanding of hotel operations with hospitality technology, I am excited to join Nomadix this month as global vice president of business development, in-room guest technologies. My new role focuses on evaluating existing and emerging hotel technologies that aim to streamline and enhance the guest experience and hotel services. I’ll also explore back-office platforms, energy management, security systems, automation and integrations.

Nomadix’s company-wide focus on research and development and seamless go-to-market is one of the many reasons why I joined. I’m already working on my plans to expand upon the comprehensive ecosystem of interconnected products that we currently offer to enhance the guest journey and improve the bottom line.

Stay tuned for more updates from me and Nomadix. I am looking forward to growing our offerings and working to build a “Better Together” future hospitality technology landscape. Interested in learning more? Come see us at an upcoming industry event or book a meeting
