This year has started off at a running pace for Nomadix. Most recently, I got back from two weeks of travel at AAHOACON and BITAC Symposium, and I’m now on the road again at the Choice Hotels annual convention. The theme of this event is “Unstoppable,” and I would say that this sums up the last (almost) four months of growth and momentum for my team.
To kick it up another notch, I’m excited to introduce our newest hire, Michael Fox. This technology industry veteran joins Nomadix as Director of Business Development – Americas, focusing on hospitality and multi-tenant industries, along with a variety of other vertical markets. He has over 30 years of consistent success in business development and channel partner growth. What really sets him apart, however, is his ability to solve problems through collaboration with channel partners, in a true partnership, to create an environment of value where partners and Nomadix alike can thrive.
Why is this important now? Research shows that 81% of Americans consider Wi-Fi a requirement for vacations, with nearly 90% being less likely to book a place with reviews mentioning bad Wi-Fi. Additionally, slow and spotty connectivity would be a deal breaker for business guests, a segment that travel managers largely expect will reach pre-pandemic levels by the end of this year.
Michael is joining our team at a pivotal time. He will focus on increasing the Nomadix footprint across our key markets and will help equip our partners for planning and installing networks – specifically the Nomadix Networks portfolio – in hotels, multifamily communities, student housing, large venues and more.
Previously, he held leadership positions with network infrastructure, wireless and technology service providers such as Connectivity Wireless, Cambium Networks, Ruckus Wireless and Zyxel Communications. He has worked in a wide variety of industry vertical markets, such as Hospitality, MDU/MTU, Large Public Venue, Mixed Use, Class A Office, both Higher Education and K-12, and is well equipped to aide the Nomadix partner community in developing new business opportunities through vertical focus and technology utilization.
