Seoul, September 8, 2021 – Guests at the Novotel Ambassador Seoul Dongdaemun in South Korea can now choose and watch their own entertainment and media apps on the in-room TV with the introduction of Nomadix Casting. Chosen as an upgrade to the hotel’s previous streaming devices, the easy-to-use, highly reliable TV casting is now available in both standard and premium suites. Local Nomadix partner, Cheongdam Network, who supplies Nomadix equipment in 45 hotels across the country, installed the TV casting solution.
As more content and media apps are streamed at home, hotel guests want to ‘bring their own content’ when they travel for a home-from-home experience. Nomadix Casting lets Novotel guests relax, learn, work, or workout, choosing from thousands of apps from Naver to Netflix, Daum to Disney+, watched on the hotel’s high-quality in-room screens. In addition to a superior guest experience that differentiates the hotel’s service, TV casting also increases guest safety, by not having to come into contact with TV remotes.
Branded to the Novotel, guests simply pair their mobiles, tablets, and laptops with the in-room TV either by scanning a QR code or by entering a URL once connected to the hotel Wi-Fi. Once successfully paired, content apps are instantly cast onto the hotel TV. Unlike content mirroring, travelers can use their laptops or mobiles while their Netflix series plays.
